First Krakow Coffee Shop Review

Hi friends!

First off I want to say Happy New Year, I know we’re already into the second half of January but I am excited to be starting a slightly new venture.

I have always had a love for coffee (thanks dad) and I always will, so one of my closest friends gave me an idea. She gave me the idea to start doing coffee shop reviews, since I’ll probably be going anyway, then why not snap a few photos and tell you what I like and dislike about them!? With that in mind, I said why the hell not!

The other fun part of this new thing, is that I started using my grandpa & grandmas old Canon AE-1 Film camera and I am having a ton of fun with it. I haven’t used this film camera in like 6 years or something, so I completely forgot how it worked and am re-learning the whole process. The first 3 photos in this blog post were all shot with that camera on Kodak Ultra Max 400 film. That probably means a lot to some people and is complete gibberish to others (I fall somewhere in the middle), so take that with a grain of salt. Plus, I had them printed out first and realized I needed them digitally, so with my broken Polish and the shop workers elementary level English, I had them sent to me via email. Since I received digital scans, I can actually edit them a little bit in Lightroom. How cool is that? You can shoot film and still edit a bit in Lightroom on your desktop or iPhone? Crazy right. Film here in Poland costs 26 Polish zloty which is the equivalent of about 7 bucks depending on exchange rate and there’s 36 photos per roll. That being said, it’s still relatively cheap especially if you just get the photos scanned not printed. Anyrate, I am super excited about how these shots turned out, especially the second one that was all reflective, so I hope you guys enjoy them too!

Okay enough about film for now, onto the coffee shop! This is the first official coffee shop in my reviews. This isn’t meant for anything serious, just for fun, as an excuse to go to a new coffee shop each week, get out of the house & see more of my city. But also, I am sort of a coffee snob and I have no problem admitting to that. I’m just biased.

So, David and I went to a place called Coffee Club. I was very happy with this ‘lil place. It was super trendy in a good way and I felt like it was very instagramable. Right off the bat when we walked in I liked the ambiance. The music was good, in my opinion, just the current hits but not playing too loudly. The decor was ver well put together and the seating was very cozy. I think we both had cappuccinos and we shared a chocolate, chocolate - chip muffin. The coffee was marvelous: perfect temp, not to bitter, very smooth + went super well with the muffin. As for how good the muffin was, lets just say I wish we had each gotten our own… YUM. For reference, I don’t like my coffee very sweet, but I don’t love it just black. My go to is a hot cappuccino 90% of the time. We were both happy with this place and the prices were veryyy reasonable. Coffee Club gets a 10/10 from me.

As for what I’m wearing this is a favorite outfit of mine! I am wearing a corduroy overall dress from Joanie Clothing (which is on sale at the moment) + a puffy long sleeve black shirt from Stradivarius + my beloved Stuarts (they no longer carry my exact style but they have some amazing sales on similar ones now) and my current favorite bag right now from Joseph and Stacey called Lucky Pleats. In case some of you are interested in a film camera like mine, here are some great deals for the same kind.

Xoxo
